Today we did the Durango to Silverton narrow gauge rail road. The train could not go all the way to Silverton because a rock slide buried part of the track under 50 feet of rock. In some parts of the ride the train goes right on the edge of a cliff. It was really cool. There was a river at the bottom of the cliff. Because we could not go all the way to Silverton we had to turn around at Cascade Falls. The train stopped and everybody got off and walked around. We sat by the river and skipped rocks. We waited for an hour before they let people back on the train. We were the last train to leave in the morning and first train to get back. The other trains got stuck farther up on the track because they didn’t know about the rock slide before they left the station in the morning.  Tomorrow we drive to Great Sand Dunes.
